NO EVIL FOODS
busts unions
No Evil Foods prides themselves on sustainability when it comes to plants, animals, and the environment, but when they got news that their workers had started to organize a union, they:
Hired the services of a “union avoidance” (union busting) law firm
Plastered the production facility with “Vote No” posters and anti-union propaganda
Held several mandatory anti-union propaganda meetings multiple times per week
Exploited fears of sexual harassment, job insecurity, union dues, and union corruption
Targeted union supporters after the union effort was crushed
NO EVIL FOODS
fired their production team without warning or severance pay
Just a little over a year after the union drive, No Evil Foods:
Fired the entire production team without any warning
Gave workers a letter of recommendation and a flyer for an upcoming job fair in Asheville
Refused to give workers any kind of severance pay
Refused to pay workers their accrued paid-time off
Immediately terminated healthcare benefits
Outsourced production jobs to a third-party co-packer with ties to the meat industry to cut costs
